Just to illustrate how terrible the shape of the Industry is in today for sales, and how much things have declined - and while there has been time for these albums to sell more; aside from the Beatles 1 (which still hit 20 million sales relatively quickly), none of these albums had significant sales after their first year of release - albums just do not sell like they used to:

1999:
Backstreat Boys Millenium - 30 million
Santana Supernatural - 27 million
Britney Spears Baby one more time - 26 million
Dido No Angel - 21 million

Year 2000:
Beatles 1 - sold 31 million
Linkin Park Hybrid Theory - 24 million
Backstreet Boys - Black and Blue - 24 million
Britney Spears Oops I did it again - 20 million

Where did you find those numbers? For what I know they are lifetime sales and not yearly

Wikipedia, and they are lifetime sales.

Though they are probably fairly accurate to how well they sold those particular years since none of these acts (save the Beatles) were very popular after this period. It is highly doubtful that the albums released last year will even sell more than another 200K each (since none of them are selling anymore), let alone quadruple their sales (with the exception of Adele who is still selling, because for some reason she is actually popular...).

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.
