The complicated battle system is what made me tolerate FF13 and be willing to play ff13-2 because old RPG battle systems ended up with you pressing X to attack and win...this time around you actually have to think

Doesn't sound much different from XIII actually, except that in the other games you actually didn't spend most of the game spamming the "Auto Attack" option.

Why must you use that button, you can switch default command to ablility. It's too prevalent in the menu, when you switch to abiliities in the options they should take that button away. You don't necessarily use auto-aim (atleast auto aim) etc which essentially is it's equivelent.

I don't care for the speed of the battle system and don't like the feeling I get when playing it without the auto-battle. When playing FFXIII I tried to do everything manually and I felt like I had to rush my decisions. I don't like that feeling.

While I am still going to get FFXIII-2 (As I have done with every single FF), I still would have preferred the slower paced action ala FFI-X, where I could take my time during battle and nothing ever felt rushed.

I guess this is where you and I differ because that was the only thing I liked about 13 and the fact it seems much crazier in 13-2 (now that you can change leaders mid battle) keeps you entirely on your toes at all times. I refused to use "auto battle" and when I accidentally click on it, I always make sure to cancel the action and enter it myself even if my attack is the same as the one suggested by auto just on principal.

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.
