ATB is still present in FFXIII / FXIII-2 OT: I don't see how it bombed. Its going to get anywhere between 2-5 million when its all said and done. Thats a money maker for a game of this kind. |
I do agree with you, the game has not bombed, based on the fact they would have used existing character models, adapted environments etc, the game would have probably made even more money then the first even with less sales. It certainly wasn't as a successful of a sequal as FFX-2 though.
I think what morenoingrato was trying to say is they need to more away from what they think would appeal to Western Market, similaries between western RPGs, and move back to a more traditional style of play, the type of gameplay that won us all over in the first place with FF6 and 7. Self contained battles, a free and clever leveing up system, and open world map with airship. Things we consider Final Fantasy games aspects are seemingly missing from FF games.
They need to stop making sequals and concentrate on making main games series. We have both FFXIII and XIV released yet no XV announced, are wel going to have to wait 5 years for that too? What happened to the game a year we had? FFVIII in 1999, FFIX in 2000, FFX in 2001, FFXI 2002.
Hmm, pie.
