This orginally confused me as to why Nintendo would do something like this. But after thinking about it. Gamestop (along with EB Game) reports it sales and chains like Wal-Mart doesn't. So Nintendo probally wants to know the market penetration of certian items probally to give its liscensed developers, and units shiped it just has too much of a grey area, to properly report. Plus Gamestop is the a figurative anti-christ.
