Just buy it for the PC when the Game of the Year edition is released. It'll be cheaper, include all the DLC, and by then the modders would have coded all sorts of glorious little add-ons for the game for you to embed into your copy. Not to mention that you might have a more powerful PC/upgrade to your existing PC to make it a smoother experience.
If you already have a copy, trade it in, swap with a friend, or put it up on EBay to buy something else with strong replay value to hold you over for a while if the wait is really that unbearable.
