Seriously though, I don't think that's Miyamoto's type of games. His latest IP was Pikmin (as far as I remember) so let's hope he brings something like that.

That's fine and all, but I expect them to give us more quality core games. All new IP's Nintendo has made are mostly casual. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think they have created any new core games. Although, if Nintendo does create a solid and worthwhile casual game(s) again, I'm all for it. If you look at my games, I buy a lot of casual games as well

I think their latest new IP was Pikmin... I think.

If we're talking about Miyamoto, his more recent new IPs include the likes of Nintendogs and Wii Sports.

Nintendo as a whole have made quite a few IPs in the 7th and the 8th gen so far: The above, along with Disaster DoC, Soma Bringer, Steel Diver, Pushmo, Eco Shooter 530, Brain Training/Age to name a few
