Just do yourself a favor and stop acting like 3rd parties means nothing because if you haven't noticed it is thanks to 3rd parties than Wii is dying and PS360 are thriving.

So the Wii is not selling because there is no 3rd party games and not because there are no more Nintendo games?

It is a mixture of both, but because Nintendo has to allocate resources to the 3DS and Wii U it leaves them vulnerable on the software front due to less than adequete 3rd party support. If they had stronger 3rd party support they wouldn't have to worry so much when the software on their end dries up a bit. 

I’m sure there are more 3rd party games releasing now than there are Nintendo games yet it is not selling that well but we ignore that because 3rd parties is what made Wii a success

Oh yeah, please, point me to the strong 3rd party software they have coming out right now to keep them competitive outside of the holiday buying period. 

I said release Mario and all will be well well that is what has been proven on Wii, DS and 3DS at least.

Oh, so if they release a new Mario the Wii will light up the charts? Glad you're so confident of that. It isn't like the already hit us with 3 this generation if you don't count Super Paper Mario. Oh well, let us hope the Wii U has the same kind of 3rd party support since you're so convinced Nintendo don't need them.

3rd parities did have a role in it but not the role they have for MS and Sony

Like I said, you can make the argument that this generation Nintendo did pretty well without them, but don't for a second think Nintendo will keep it this way. They came in and got everyone by surprise, provided a new way to play and it really caught on, nobody is taking that away. I just don't like this new assumption by many that Nintendo needs nobody but Nintendo, because if Nintendo carried that same attitude I don't think they would be trying so hard to get these 3rd parties on board. So obviously someone is wrong in their assumption and from the evidence I see, I don't think it is me or Nintendo. That is all I am saying. 

I’ll put this very simple for you

Nintendo does not need 3rd party games to be fine but Sony does
loosing most of the big exclusives is proof of that.

I'll just take that as you admitting I am right since now you decide to shift the focus of our conversation to financials.

That is obviously where you and I differ. You actually care if these companies make money. I only care about whether or not I continue to get games.

Of course I care if they make a profit or not. If they go away then they can’t make games I want to play + continue innovate and move game entertainment foreword in terms of interface  

I hear ya, we are obviously at a point where we realize we aren't going to see 100% eye to eye on this subject.

Also, I think that sometimes it is good to geta good swift kick in the ass like Sony did this generation since it caused them to really bolster up their 1st party efforts and emerge as a real top set of studios. Should do real well for them moving forward hopefully.

Also, it is debatable that failure was what drove Nintendo to innovate with the Wii, so don't always wish for constant success, it could end up stagnating things if there isn't a motivational kick in the ass every once in a while.
