Why does the video game industry have the worst writers?

I'll agree with that. There is a huge disparity among writers. There are good ones and bad ones, but the bad ones tend to stick out more.

Indeed they stick out. Like many others I imagine, I myself often browse N4G in my eternal hunt for interesting gaming news and nearly all articles they link to are garbage and I often scream to myself "amateur!".


But on the other hand if I read articles on Gamespot, IGN, Eurgamer and Edge I often think by myself surprised that the writing quality is on par with any well-known news paper.
