Well it's not entirely fair to compare since we now know that the 3DS ended up doing well, but for all intents and purposes it sounds like the Vita is a better piece of hardware, and the launch is definitely accompanied by a better launch lineup.
I think all this guy's points are fair, even though there's the purchaser's bias at hand "I paid a lot, therefore I subconsciously try harder to justify my purchase." I mean look at the Wii, when that came out I fell in love with that system, but after a few years I just stopped caring and now see it as one of the biggest disappointments ever. I have more games on my PSP than I do my wii. Hell, I used to be a rabid anti-Xbox360 fanboy and now have more than double the amount of 360 games as I have Wii games. Potential is one thing, you gotta live up to it to be awesome.
