There are white/blue bush-like things in most rooms of the dungeons, although you don't get seeds everytime you cut one. Just need to be a little bit patient.
You don't need many seeds anyway, kill the spiders with your sword. When they are on the ground, an upwards swing will flip them over and then you can execute the finisher, if you are locked on to the enemy. When they are hanging from the ceiling, use horizontal swings until they start to spin and then perform a stab at their weak point. Requires good timing though. Once you've found the item in the dungeon, you can cut their "ropes" to make them fall on the ground.

Thanks a lot! I have been wasting seeds on them and having to go back and forth wasting all my time. Not to mention those two eyes in that first area drove me nuts until I finally noticed that they both opened once I killed the spider and stood in his spot. Like I said, I dread those spiders so I left him there for hours before I finally stopped being stubborn.

Yeah, in this Zelda you really NEVER need to buy any type of ammo. Its all freely available in plentiful amounts via breakable/cuttable items.
