How exactly is this not a good era for new ips? Ignoring the ones on that list there are things like Dead Space, Mirrors Edge, Army of Two, Souls games, Bayonetta, Crackdown, L.A Noire, Portal, Dead island, Infamous etc etc. 

Those are only ones that have a high chance at a sequel. If we include games that didn't get massive sales but got good reviews like Shadows of the Damned, Vanquish, Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey etc etc.

This generation has been a pretty incredible time for new IPs. Especially big budget triple AAA titles. 



Turkish says and I'm allowed to quote that: Uncharted 3 and God Of War 3 look better than Unreal Engine 4 games will or the tech demo does. Also the Naughty Dog PS3 ENGINE PLAYS better than the UE4 ENGINE.
