On a personal level, I grew up in a society with a culture and customs that would be considered gay here in the United Stated, Glomping your best friend, walking home from high school with your best friend shoulder-over -shoulder, greeting other men with kisses to the cheeks.
It wasn't til I got back to the states when I noticed I was getting the weird eye for some of the stuff I did or said that society deemed as "gay".
Frankly, nowadays, I really don't care how people perceive me. I don't go out of my way to come off as gay but I don't get self conscious if I hug a friend or share a drink with my gay Professor on school campus. I've even been to gay bars (mainly to pick up my bi friend or keep her company). There's no greater feeling than being hit on by a gay guy, I can tell you that. It's truly flattering.
anyways, enough babbling. The gaymers here are a minority and the chartz would not be the same without them.
