eh? no you can't :S and the color was explained as well so I don't think that's a good example

I know there are other things that go into it as well, but the whole vengeance thing was pretty much established with that.

And it's been explained because there was a good game to be had from explaining it. Why couldn't the same be true for dmc? There could be a really cool adventure in the story of how Dante's hair got white.
