They sold that 500k in the 7 days following this shipment number according to VGC. So they had 7 days supply for the planet, I think we would have heard about issues and shortgages all over the place if that were true.

It doesnt alter the fact that on the 1st January there was only 500k 3DS on shelves, in stores, in warehouse and on the road apparently. The 1st week in January is a massive shopping event, there would have been shortages and reports of sold out. No question.
You can think it is stupid shit all you want but its also relevant.
6 days supply is the lowest we have ever had in the shipped v sold tally on this site and cant be right.

I give up... they didnt have 7 days supply. there was POTEBTIALLY seven days supply in the chain, between warehouses, online retialers, store shelves, in trucks.
I can easily use your own argument against you, what if that final shipment of say 200k 3DS didnt leave the factory until dec 29th? then how much supply is there?
Those kind of tight margins wont work... its overtracked.

So there were signs of struggles to meet demand in certain regions during the quarter, and of courses there would be cases of sells-outs at a few individual retailers at varying times around the world that wont make headlines. Like mines for instance but they got resupplied lil afterwards.
And why do you keep repeating the bolded. It does not matter where the goods are in the chain as long as the retailers has access to it. Also, if they had a '7 days' supply on the 31st Dec and a new shipment was made 1st of Jan It would make this all irrelevant. This is why I asked the first question. and if thats the case it can even be undertracked.
There is no evidence here that the 3ds is overtracked dude, relax.
