They sold that 500k in the 7 days following this shipment number according to VGC.  So they had 7 days supply for the planet, I think we would have heard about issues and shortgages all over the place if that were true.

uhhh....At what intervals do nintendo ship 3ds's? Why couldn't they have a next shipment within those seven days? (This whole ship/sold thing is the most stupidest shit I swear)

It doesnt alter the fact that on the 1st January there was only 500k 3DS on shelves, in stores, in warehouse and on the road apparently.  The 1st week in January is a massive shopping event, there would have been shortages and reports of sold out. No question.  

You can think it is stupid shit all you want but its also relevant.

6 days supply is the lowest we have ever had in the shipped v sold tally on this site and cant be right.

Dude, how can retailers report shortages if they had  a 7 day supply. They could have had new shipments on 1st Jan for all we know.
