There's your answer.  It's not OPMuk in particular, but rather any Official *enter hardware producer here* Magazines can essentially be a gateway for more ad space on exclusives rather than reviews themselves.  That's not to say this mag. can't have great reviews, but you know criticism seems to be failing in comparison to say...when Nintendo Power gave LoZ:OoT a 9.5/10 (which is one of it's lower scores).

When an "in-house" magazine gives an exclusive a low score, everyone automatically goes blind or somehow forgets it happened.

I guess I'm not everyone.  Even Yahtzee constantly challenges posters to examine The Escapist's reviews (site that employs him) to see if they're going easy on the game b/c of how much ad space it took up around it's release date.  I personally challenge a majority of sites to their reviews on Brink.  There's no way some of these broken mechanics made it past them (this is coming from someone who recently purchased the game so there's been plenty of updates, I'm sure).

I wasn't refering to you specifically  just the non-specific "everyone"
