Thats not going to be possible because....

1. What is Rare doing? The first party exclusives were heavily dependent on them in the beginning.

2. Nintendo is launching before them with the Wii U (an HD console) and Sony will be launching next to them. This means no timed exclusives.

3. They will be forced to fend for themselves on a first and second party front. This means PC gamers can kiss their glorious PC exclusives goodbye even more so if they are to depend (yet again) on third parties.

4. New Kinect experiences will be a huge selling point on the next Xbox.

1) Rare is expanding, new Twycross studio last year, new talant from a lot of racing studios. They're shifting Kinect Sports to MGS Family to concentrate on more core games again. ALL OF THEM OLD IP'S! Just to upset you.

2) Doubtful, I can guarentee 1 timed exclusive every generation.

3) Fairly easy since Microsoft now has the most first party studios of all and the biggest blockbusters on a yearly basis and now Sony diverting 1/3 of internal development towards Vita only and their Japan studios working on 5 year release intervals makes things that much easier.

4) Kinect will be around for a while indeed.

1) I hope you're correct because Rare isn't also working on Kinect, they are also working on Xbox Live. The majority of the new studios Microsoft made are working on Kinect titles. My only hope for the core in all of this is that the two Canadian studios are making the core titles and thats a stretch.

2) I can grant the fact that one timed exclusive will exist. The percentage of a chance of that happening is extremely high on any side of the fence truthfully.

3) Sony has far more to worry about than Microsoft because they are not only juggling their home console but the move and the Vita. Theres no equality in their issues there.

4) Agreed. Its Microsofts golden goose right now.
