Well, I'm not a fan of the old rare so I don't care too much. I do wish they'd use some of the steller IP they have though, they're more than comptant at making games in their current form (VP was awesome)

If I'm not mistaken, you haven't played their older games, so how could you be a fan? Their games were awesome and though I've never played VP, from what I gather their old games had much more warmth than their more modern offerings. I did play Kameo on the 360 and I didn't like it. It felt incomplete. Time would have made them improve that, but as he says in the interview schedule comes first.

What I'm telling you is not magic, Chris explained why in the interview... it's because artistic liberty is cut short there due to modern business constraints. He seems to like Nintendo's approach better, and explains that in detail. Mind you I have my doubts even Nintendo will continue this fine practice, as they need to be absolutely competitive as time passes, but for now he seems still enamoured with Nintendo, so he must be happy with their current ways.

But hey, if you like Rare's current offerings, all the power to you. But the point is they don't have the soul they once had which made Rare what it became, before things went corporate.

But in your favor at least the studio is still good, it's just not great anymore.
