Eh, I'd argue that it's mainly during the holidays where you see such a gap anymore. Globally, the PS3 actually does more, it's just the US numbers put the 360 ahead more often than not (which again, depends on the genre / franchise).

No, I mean all year round. We're all looking at the same charts I think, on vgchartz.com. 360 multiplats are consistently higher than PS3 multiplats.

Much of the time, that's true, but not always. You have to take into account the genre and the franchise. For instance, look at Batman & L.A. NOIRE: both sit higher on PS3, while stuff like Elder Scrolls & Call of Duty will always do better on the 360.

All depends on circumstances my friend. The gap isn't as lopsided in favor of the 360 anymore.

Fair enough, I'll keep a closer eye on that now that you point some titles out!

And the other possibility is that the 360 flavors are more frontloaded, so I don't get to see the legs on the PS3 counterparts while watching the top 10s, which could give me a false sense that the 360 versions sell better on the long haul. Are you aware of cases where this has happened, or is it fair to assume that if the weeklies follow a trend, that trend should carry on until sales are relatively ineffectual? I'd like your opinion, as I haven't seen it happen myself.
