Can you belive that Prey 2 is built on the id tech 4 engine (heavily modified)? Kinda makes you wonder why Carmack spent 5 years making id tech 5 really other than the unique texturing the entire world and running & 60fps on consoles of course. Which reminds me Doom 4 is probably going to come out this year (been in development since 2008 and Carmack said that future games would have shorter dev cycles and to expect Doom 4 sooner rather than later) and is said to be a bit more PC focused and 30fps singleplayer on consoles so that may show the true power of id tech 5 and take the crown this year. I would say it's a dark horse, if it lives up to the 3x better looking than RAGE quote it will be stunning.
