Nintendo rode the Gameboy line for roughly two decades.
They will try to do something similar with the DS line.
Some other points --
Wasn't he DS released before the PSP (not afterwards as a reaction to it)? I remember thinking the DS was dead. I was dead wrong.
Related to that, how many people use the PSP more as a multi-media machine than as a gaming machine? That explains why software sales are so poor vis-a-vis hardware sales.
Finally, would GCA games be compatable with the Wii? Or would they have some on-line functionality that would only allow them to be played in the Wii 2 (which will play GCN, GCA, Wii1 and Wii 2 games).
