I think the Wii U is unlikely to be a contendor for best because launch games rarely show off everything a console can do. Perhaps if it was a massive jump up from the current consoles then it would be likely that the first games coming out on it can compete with the later games on the last generation, but I don't see it as likely in this situation. Particularly because the Wii U will literally have only it's launch line up to release with since it's slated to release after E3.
