Well, if shipments are flat for the year, it would put shipments at the very least at 6.8 million.  But considering sales have pretty much been slightly up or flat in most of the regions for the year, shipments should be almost guaranteed to be at least 7 million.  I'm thinking it will be just short of 7.5 million (7.3-7.4).

well, if you trust VGC numbers, PS3 sold 6.37M during the last quarter. Inventory left over after september was, using VGC sales numbers, was around 1.55M, given that the PS3 usually has around 1.55m units sitting around all day doing nothing, Sony would ship at least 6M and probably go as high as 7.5M which is highly improbable.
