The only thing we can hope for is that Nintendo doesn't get too fixated on this social networking/dlc/online play/multimedia malarkey as well, or else we'll all have to pour out a sacrificial libation for the utter annihilation of a once-proud industry

Segregating on manufacturer name is nearly baseless. I understand each console with its vibe and library, but to purely segregate by console manufacturer irrespective of a specific platform (you said "Nintendo home consoles" in general) is illogical imho ...

Given I used facts and not opinions on forums to come to my conclusions, no you didn't fix it your broke it.
Way back when, Nintendo home console did have all the gamers flock to them, it's been a looong long time since those days though.
