Anyway, I'm hoping this game will move more towards Halo CE rather than Halo 2/3. Exploring needs to be encouraged rather than pushed back by invisible walls as constantly seen in recent releases. More open worlds as well of course! (although, I think I've read somewhere 343 already confirmed that.)

I thought that too, especially wondering how the hell they built Infinity. 

But I checked the Halo Encyclopedia and only Earth and Mars were hit when the Covenant found Earth. The colonies on the moons of Jupiter and Saturn were untouched. Also the novel First Strike says that the Covenant will have bypassed more then a dozen colonies when they found out Earths location. 

Sure some colonies chose to be independant but im sure at least a few are still loyal to UNSC/Earth to contribute with any raw materials. 

Thanks for the interesting info man. I thought Earth was the last location populated by humans; guess I was completely wrong
