There's an audience for RPGs on the 360, just take a look at Skyrim (360) which has already outsold FF13 (PS3) and is on its way to outselling both versions of FF13 combined (that's without even bringing Skyrim PC and PS3 sales into it).

If Square wants its RPGs to not become marginalized in the West they seriously need to step up their game.   I mean here you have someone from Square defending the lack of traditional towns in FF13 by saying that they are "very hard" to make and then Skyrim comes out and shows everyone how it's done.

The Final Fantasy series is in serious need of a reboot if it hopes to compete with rising RPG franchises like The Elder Scrolls and it should start with cutting all the FMV nonsense that started with FF7 and getting back to basics.  Otherwise they should be happy with decent to good sales on Playstation consoles from gamers that appear willing to settle for less and declining sales on the Xbox platform.
