Your math seems off, I'm getting 1.72 for the average of those five numbers, more if you take out the obviously outlying .6 which would makes the average 2.0 instead.

But back to the numbers I'm adding up the VGcharts numbers quarter by quarter that BH3 and Kowenicki posted in the Ship Vs sold thread (they are accurate and are VGcharts official numbers.  And I actually forgot to add in the numbers from 2011 as BHR-3 had left them off....the number comes to 1.37 avarage supply.  So if I'm missing something I'm happy to recant, but those are the numbers.

i'm too lazy to look up that thread so i'll just ask, how did you average the quarters? did you add up all the on hand inventory per quarter then averaged it? if so, thats not a very good representation of the average inventory level. What you want to do is average the on hand inventory for quarters that end in december. that way, you get the average inventory during end of Christmas. 

If you average all of the quarters, that would be a quarterly average, not an end of season average.
