Super Mario 64 (Exploration aspect was great, the castle hub area was brilliant, the levels were amazing. And oh, the music...)
Super Mario 3D Land (Great levels, good use of 3D, challenging platforming.)
Super Mario Galaxy 2 (It's the first one, but better.)

Super Mario Sunshine
Yeah, Sunshine... by no means is it a bad game, but it's just not up to 3D Mario greatness. I consider it the "Toy Story 2 of Mario".
