Microsoft has CLEARLY said over 66M SOLD, not shipped. Why do people keep trying to say it is shipped?

And Sony and Nintendo have yet to refute MS's claim that 360 won 2011 globally. VGC numbers are very loose estimates. To think they have better numbers than Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo, who have the ACTUAL sales figures, is ludicrous. Public companies don't just make up numbers since they are bound by laws to report accurate financial figures.

There is a lot of Sony wishful thinking in this thread. It's hilarious.

Question is, where the f**k are they selling them. It's overtracked in US and France - one of bigger European markets, and story shouldn't be too different in the other Europe markets(practically on par or slightly overtracked/undertracked) but not significantly. I just can't see where they SOLD that many, most likely SHIPPED, they've pulled a Sony on this one and said "sold" instead of "shipped" like they used to.

It's shipped, then even that's a lot of inventory.

My guess is that the difference is that PS3 is being overtracked in Europe mainly, and in other smaller areas like South America, the Middle East and Mexico/Canada.

360 is probably undertracked a bit in those territories as well, but IMO, it is mainly that PS3 is being overtracked by VGChartz in the areas with no formal tracking and reporting.
