Amen. I don't know how many Xbox 360 Kinect kits I sold this holiday season but it was so noobs could play Just Dance and Kinect Sports. Those aren't real games. And Kinect is the only reason 360 is still selling.

i'm a core gamer for over 20 years now (if you can say core gamer to a gamer 20 years ago) and for me, dance central or kinect sports are real games. they aren't ego-shooters, they aren't rpg's but they are real games, just another categorie which many "new" core gamers don't like but i think many gamers over 30 who play videogames over 20 years now like those games as well.

15 years ago i played games with my friends now i play kinect games with my family and i don't have less fun with them and i did both just for fun and not to be "serious" and i still love to play "core" games but there are some like me who are "core" gamers playing with kinect as well. sure there are some casual gamers who play only kinect but there are many like me playing both kinds of videogames and even as casual games they are real games.

some core gamers are so crazy everything which doesn't fit in their "a game has to be hard, complicated, just for nerds" categorie has to be shit and cant be a real game. no way would someone like this have fun playing with some other friends or family kinect sports. "how can someone have fun with something which is made just to have a lot fun?" do they believe lol

most of the nerds hating kinect will like it a lot when they will have an own family and they will stop talking shit about it. they just hate it as long as they have noone to play with like a beautiful wife and a great kid.

last year i didn't buy some core games (dark souls for example) because i played kinect games. not because i'm a noob just because i didn't have time to play all core games because of some kinect hours. before kinect i would have said "baby i'm playing xbox now, cu later" and now i say many times "baby let's have some fun playing xbox". is this really so bad for so many people?


I play dance central with most of the students at my dormatory (chicks and non-gamers usually). They own 360's and all of them only play Dance Central. The actual 360 Gamers owners are a handful  and after Christmas brought back PS3's and Wii's. PS3's used to be nonexistant at my dorms and now they are the largest section where people actually game. I play Dance Central all the time, I just don't want it. I'll play any game for that matter. 

Kinect as I've said before can be used for gaming, but is bigger than gaming. Most people will be using it control their multimedia in the business and office.  I hope Microsoft posts Kinects actual usage like Major Nelson because every month the games that are on top on Xbox Live are predictable. Kinect has the potential to be used in hospitals and more. Microsoft had a plan to make Kinect Huge, but its effect will be bigger outside of gaming, in the business, casual media and medical fields. Microsoft has never had a clear cut plan on what to do in the gaming industry besides to own your living room. No one guaranteed games.
