I liked FFXIII. But I loved this demo. It's a lot of fun.
I like having fewer party members, particularly, if the story has a chance to be discombobulated like I think it will be since Toriyama's involved >_<. Because atleast I can like listening to a small number of characters grow.
I like serah and noel, from the demo, they're much more likable together than say serah and Snow (I hated snow). The Chocobo Lady is funny. . And having monsters in your party seems neat like DQV. However, hearing moogles speak, is sometimes cute and sometimes annoying.
The game parts is fun. The little puzzles obviously are simple now. But if they get a little more difficult it seems neat, that's really enjoyed the puzzles in FFX. The elements that aren't in the demo, chocobos, and casino hopefully will be neat.
The cinematic Events I actually like. Because normally you'd watch a cutscene. Now it seems you get QTE's. Which are never the best thing. But it allows events while allowing interaction.
The graphics are worse.
I'm impressed. I don't think this will be near the top in FF's for story. But, unless the game completely goes a different from the direction of the demo. It seems like it will be a blast to play.
