Of course it´s a success. 90+ million consoles sold and a lot of new consumers to the videogames market thanks to easy acessibility and motion controls. Wii finally convinced family members that the living room is the right place for a game console.
It may not catered core gamers, but it definetely bring a lot of fresh ideas for the market and consumers recognize that by buying it incessantly.
