I'm frankly quite tired of the drive for photo realistic games. Realism is boring. It's uncreative. It's unartistic. I've gotten really tired of most of this generation's games as a result; they're all starting to blend together. We've got consoles capable of displaying billions of colors, and what do we choose? 64 shades of brown.
I prefer when developers get creative with their art designs :)
