I think I disagree... It's obvious that this is a design choice - you cannot develop any sense of an epic adventure or story if you decide to break up your game into self-contained levels. It's more of a puzzle game, not an adventure.

But I'd have preferred a new Monkey Island, too, of course. And I could have done without the overly childish theme and characters. I doesn't have to be darker or more gritty, just more "offbeat" - just like the old LA adventures. They're my definition of proper "mature games".

Yeah, a good game, not the best there ever was, but I'd say, my #3 on the Wii behind Twilight Princess and Super Mario Galaxy.
