I think it's ironic that Sony's own numbers is what's proving Steve Ballmers statement to be true.

I really wouldn't jump to any conclusions quite yet.  These look to be Sony's estimates for retail sales.  We'll have to wait til NPD and then shipment numbers to get the whole picture.
