On the issue of gay adoption, I'd agree. It seems fundamentally wrong to extract taxes from gay citizens and then give that money to an adoption agency that wouldn't allow them to adopt a kid.
I disagree on the abortion deal, though, since the Catholic church isn't opposed to providing abortions because they're anti-woman or anything. They just think it's morally abhorrent to terminate an unborn child rather than allow it to grow up and be molested by a clergyman like God intended.
