I think that the Wii U supporting the Wiimote is the perfect counter argument to him. The Wiimote is the controller the most sold of the current generation and developper are familiar with it.

LOL that is some funny logic right there. There have been more 3rd party studios working on HD hardware this gen than Wii. So what has Wiimotes sold got to do with anything?

A number of developers arnt familiar with the Wiimote, or at least nowhere near the level of joypads (Bethesda, Take two). That doesn't change the fact these devs are going to have to get to grips with the tablet controller (which will be the main selling point off the WiiU, not wii motes ..)

You don't even know HD consoles don't have the same controller?
