Easily PS3. Gamecube was Nintendos darkest age. I am not a fan of the Wii at all, but game wise it is way better than the GCN, and has been much more of a joy to own.

PS3 on the other hand has been Sony's best showing from a games only point. It has got all of the amazing franchises PS is known for, and Sony has built the most skilled, and innovative game studio on the planet. Little Big Planet, Heavy Rain, Infamous, Killzone, God of War and Uncharted are all timeless.

Most importantly, I go back and play Xbox, PS1, PS2, NES, SNES, N64, and some handheld games. I have not hooked up the GCN since RE4.

the bolded statements, i think we could look at those as objectively as possible and agree that they are true. however, i do think its quite telling that nintendo's darkest period still beats out sony's best when it comes to first party titles. again, i will reference the fact that a lot of first party gamecube games are already considered classics, they have held their value, and they are always going to be higher on a top 100 games list above ps3 exlusives.

but honestly, lol, anybody can have any opinion they want, thats fine, but you have crossed a line. claiming that sony has the most innovative game studio on the planet. dude, little big planet is probably your best case, but its still just a side scrolling platformer. come on. heavy rain? the interactive movie? i dont want to compare it to the types of games that the sega cd had but... well, let me just say im glad that every game on the ps3 is not like that lol. infamous? no comment. killzone wow. yeah your standard fps war game. killzone is by far your weakest example. come on dude, that just makes you look desparate. god of war is great, dont get me wrong, but we are talking innovative here. uncharted, even though it is one of the best games this gen, has still been done a million times over. uncharted may have perfected what has been done before, but that IS NOT innovation.

i just dont understand how we can take what youre saying seriously when you make those claims.

On the subject of games holding value, I don't get your argument. A game only holds value if it is a commodity. Games that become legend years after release that only sell 150k will always sell at a higher value, than a game of the same quality and prestige that sold 15M. Thats just an example, so don't go thinking I am saying GCN games only sold 150K.

As far as the games on PS3. I was giving an example of both the (skill) and innovation. I would only put Heavy Rain, and LBP in the innovation category (also Mod Nation). Sorry to here you did not like HR, it is not everyone, but it is the most unique experiance I have had this gen. As far as Killzone, Uncharted, God of War, and Infamous go, they all are from my experiances this gen, the best in there respective catagory. Those are the titles I have went back to the most on PS3. Gran Turismo, Resistance, Ratchet and Clank, Socom, those games IMO have seen better experiances from Wii, 360, or 3rd parties in their respective genres.

I am not out to have a war over PS3 and GCN. I just feel PS3 has been better all around, I don't hate the GCN, there were great times with that system. It's just that I find most other platforms more desierable to return to.

Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.
