saleswise it is a success in my opinion financial it isn't. i don't know but i don't believe sony will be ever in the blacks with the ps3...i mean yes they are maybe in the black atm but they won't get all losses of the first years back.
but to be honest it's all not easy to say. for example i believe ps3 helped to push the blu-ray format and this would mean sony movie sales did better because of the ps3 which noone is including in the numbers. i have few sony movies here just because i own a ps3 which means sony got money from me for movies because of the ps3
