Is he referring to the N64 carts as well as the Wii Remote? Because the Gamecube had great third party support, and so did the DS.
I wonder how he would respond to the fact that the Gamecube had Nintendo's best third-party multiplat support of any generation outside of the SNES, but was also Nintendo's least successful console by a considerable margin.
Ultimately, third parties don't determine the success of a Nintendo console. Nintendo, and how it responds to its competitors, does.
