The AVS will be taken out of the northwestern division and moved into a new four team division with the Anaheim Ducks, Phoenix, Coyotes, and surprisingly the Nashville Predators. I would be so mad if this is true (and I heard it from a reliable source because: |
Where the heck did you hear this? It was reported last month after the league met with the team owners that they were planning on going back to the old 4 conference or division format they used to have prior to all the expansions in the mid-90s. The three divisions in the east and west will be condensed into two each, with 7 teams apiece in the east for 14, and 8 apiece in the west for 16 (Winnipeg will be moved to one of the western conferences next season, with no proposal to move any teams east). No expansion teams were ever mentioned or even rumored about during these meetings, and with Atlanta just losing its franchise and Phoenix still in danger of losing the Coyotes, I seriously doubt there will be any more teams added to the league anytime soon.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.
