I f you bought your 3DS in America.. shouldnt the 3DS ultimately log in to the NA region regardless of where you are?

I'll find out by tonight, as i'm playing Mario Kart 7 and would like to continue playing online, so we'll see if extra-regional online connections are allowed

I believe there was article released where Siliconera(Ithink it was them) tested a NA 3DS in Japan(or vice versa) and it was still connected to NA region
