Still pretty close. 360 did a very good job to shrink down PS3 lead so much. 360 is really seasonal now vs PS3, I wonder how this will impact MS strategy if at all.

So a good year relatively speaking for both PS3/360 HW and SW.

Totally agree.

Gratz to PS3, but gratz to XB360 too.     A little dig at bragging MS PR and just the minority of haters amongst the fans, but full gratz without any dig to hard working devs and faithful fans.

About your doubt, strategies, I'd say both should keep on their respective ways, sales suggest the different ones they found are very fitting for their products, maybe adopting the same they could end up damaging each other instead of benefitting themselves.

Anyhow, now I must be back drooling on the new year's PC games list, teh undead, d0m3d, home (to tell it from teh other undead, PSP, and teh two d0m3d ones, 3DS and PSV, that are all portable  ) gaming platform (*) is calling me!    http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=138465&page=1#

(*) to anticipate the obvious but legit question, confusion with Wii is warded off because the latter is d0m3d and home, but not undead.

PC is looking good this year.  I'm playing more on PC again than anything else right now.  Skyrim is eating up way too much time and I'm finally getting around to checking out the Witcher and the Witcher 2.  Thanks to Steam's great sales i've got quite a PC backlog now.

EXCELLENT! You just saved countless kittehs and baby seals!!!
