My sense of progression was never in question with City. Might just be you. I always thought Zelda was kinda openworld anyway, they could just take the GTA/INFAMOUS/Bully approach and have the world open up as you progress. Hell they can keep doing what there doing just change the setting, replace the town with a city and dungeons with.. whatever equvilant woud be. |
I very sincerely doubt it's just me. Zelda's backbone is based on the idea of emergent gameplay, where more options open up as you get more equipment. Once you take that away, you take away one of the core tenets of the series since it was conceived, one they've never strayed away from.
