I love playing point on click adventures on my Wii since I can sit on my couch or do chores while I comtemplate what to do next. This is certainly one of the best available on the Wii (also consider Secret Files/Sam & Max/Moneky Island(ww)).
However as mentioned it's available cheaper and controls better (although it's absolutely fine on Wii except for a couple points where the object you need is so small it's very easy to miss on your TV/with Wii controls). It is a 12 year old game after all. The Wii version does offer a little extra content but it's really up to your personal preference on what system to go with.
If you like point and clicks, this is a classic and shouldn't be missed.
