Have we checked the software totals for the system compare to others?


Look up media create, for the pass few weeks 3DS games have dominated the japanese charts (5 of the top 10 have been 3DS games for over a month).


That is not what software totals means.

Well MK7 and Mario are at 4m/4.7m total, MHTG is at 900k and OOT is at around 3m for recent releases those sales are great.

Not "software totals for two or three games". And no, a couple hits does NOT help that, since that is just the same cherry picking fanboys often use, ignoring which systems are actually selling the most games.


Why don't you look them up then, according to this site 3DS has shifted about 28m units of software,  though I don't see how you're going to compare totals of platforms out for 6 years to one out for 8 months.
