Its a tough one to be honest as could go either way.
I can't see PS3 having another price cut. That would be like 3 in 3 years or something. Where as i can see a 360 cut simply because it hasen't. However i think it will be more of a 360+kinect kinda cut instead of individually. If they get 360+Kinect down to around £140-£150 that will sell by the truck load.
However with the current financial climate getting worse i think that will have a knock on effect this year. So my guesses would be
PS3 - 12.5m
360 - 13m
Wii - 7.5m
Wii U - 2m
3DS - 20m
PSV - 7.5m - I really do think the Vita is going to struggle.
I think 2011 will be seen as the peak of this generation. Chances are at E3 MS will announce the new console which will mean the 360 gets its last xmas holiday. Where as with Sony it really is a hard one to call. As a company they are losing over $2m a day. They just released Vita and early indicators are sales are not as good, especially against 3DS. Would they risk announcing PS4 at that time? I can't see it. 2012 for Sony as a company will all be about trying to turn those heavy losses into some kind of profit. Either way it will be another interesting year.
On a side note nice to see my 2011 predictions were pretty acurate :)
