A few weeks ago I was transporting my Wii back up to my room from the living room... I had everything in a small box [meant for CD storage] and took everything but the Wii out... plugged in and set up all the wires, then picked up the Wii.
I dropped it from about 3cm up and it fell and tipped over on to it's side.
When I first turned it on it made a juddering noise for about 5 seconds, I was scared i'd broken it.
Anyhow after that nothing wrong has happened thankfully... I suspect the drop may have moved the Wii sports disc inside, which didn't like being turned.
Basically make sure you take the disc out before moving the Wii, because if I had dropped it from higher it might have dislodged it properly and got stuck in there.
