The 72K the Vita did on the second week of launch during the holiday season are disasterous numbers; and 1/3rd what the 3DS did on its second week outside of the holiday season.

The point is that it is only the second week, and the holiday season, and the sales have plummeted to very low levels - especially when the console has no heavy hitting handheld software upcoming, nor does it look like a price drop is imminent. The biggest potential title that could come out for it is Final Fantasy, and the milk is souring there.
2. Really? Because I don't think anyone else consideris 72K sales on the second week as resisting the storm very well. In fact, I would say that is quite a devastating result.
