Thanks, The story picks up right where XIII finishes, so you should at least familiarise yourself with how XIII ends, even if you do it via a plot summary or online cutscene watching. Just because with some aspects of XIII-2 it can reference XIII's events quite heavily, But the story is really what you make of it and is very compelling in its own right. I'd say not finishing XIII, you'd only miss about 10% of the story if that, and if you find plot threads referencing XIII stuff you dont like, just dont follow them. Once the XIII-2 story gets going it is really its own tale and is much more vast in scope than the events of XIII. I'm quite confident you will would enjoy the XIII-2 story regardless. @lestatdark There are a lot of similarities to chrono trigger, and rumour has it some of the CT staff worked on the game, But the multiple ending system is strangely not based on your dialogue choices in conversation but what places you go and when, So without trying to give too much away, the story is very much based around time manipulation. I'm still yet to get the perfect ending (I should have bought a guide with the game) so let me get back to you once I have. But suffice to say in places the game has a very nostalgic CT feel to it. |
I can totally Agree on that^^
and rumour also has it that Tri-ace members also worked on FFXIII-2
